(Wurttemberg) 1898 (7 Apr) cover to Brousse, Turkey underfranked with 1894 2pf. grey tied Langenargen cds, this 2pf superimposes a Swiss 5c. postage due and French 1c postage due applied by collector, framed T with “22 ½ cts” added in manuscript, on arrival two intaglio tax handstamps and 1 piastre postage due applied and tied Brousse cds of Avr 15.
1861 entire from Naples to Wallau, Germany with good strike of framed oval handstamp ‘Debours/ Transit Suisse, part Schwei/ T.T. framed handstamp at right, annotated at top “Per Vapore Diretto via Genova”, various Italian, Swiss and German transit backstamps; some ageing.
1863 entire written from Switzerland with forwarding agents cachet from Locle (Suisse) to Lima, Peru, endorsed “Par Stmr La Plata” franked with 1853 imperf Napoleon 80c. (close to large margins) and 1862 perforated 40c. tied gros chiffres ‘1769/ B’ with Bureau Maritime cds in association, two red framed P.P., Panama double arc transit at centre, reverse with manuscript “Acheminee/ par” CH. VIGNIER/ HAVRE, Lima arrival cds alongside.
1876 (30 VIII) 25c. postal stationery envelope uprated 50c. from Basel to Yokohama, Japan, endorsed “Via Brindisi” whose transit cds of 2 Set appears on reverse together with Hong – Kong Marine Sorter/ Singapore to Hong Kong double-ring cds of OC 19, this appears to be an inverted ‘9’ in the date as there is an arrival cds of the Hong Kong office. Fine and very rare.
1890 cover to Switzerland, franked 4d tied unclear numeral handstamp, 'ACCRA' date stamp in association, 'PAID/LIVERPOOL/BR PACKET' transit, reverse with arrival cancels; small surface faults in Accra cancel otherwise good condition.
