Vertical filing crease, arrival backstamp. A striking cover.

(New South Wales) 1897 (SP 2) internal Broken Hill envelope franked 1d.(1s) Diamond Jubilee and Hospital Charity tied by fine ‘133’ numeral obliterator with cds in association; some mounting paper disturbance on reverse and very slight perf toning, good appearance.

(Queensland) 1864-65 Watermark Small Star, Perf 12 2d. blue pair with two ‘140’ numeral cancel, one of the strikes being very clear. This cancel was used at Cania and Kroombit, opened on 18/6/70 on a part time basis, closed 7/10/72 and moved to Kariboe closing 21/8/74; a rare cancel.

(Queensland) 1890 Fourth Sideface issue Essay for the 2½d. value, imperf and showing the value tablets in top corners, printed in mauve on white watermarked ‘Queensland’ paper. Rare and attractive.
