(Corsica) 1880 outer letter sheet to Livorno posted on board a vessel at Bastia, franked with ‘Sage’ 5c. (2) and 15c., arrival backstamp and handstamp “coi Postale Francesci” on front to indicate transport by a non Italian postal vessel; fine and scarce.
(Disinfected Mail) 1744 (20 Mazo) folded entire from Tripoli to Consul at Naples, disinfected with heavy diagonal slitting and signs of vinegar staining, a good early example.
(Incoming Mail) 1866 (24 Jan) outer letter sheet to Genova bearing Constantinople company chop, at top French maritime cds for ship Danube, framed entry PIROSCAFI/ POSTALI/ FRANCESI handstamp indicating French Packet, Messina transit of 28th and red framed arrival.

(Maritime Mail) 1868 outer letter sheet to Genova per Savona franked ‘Laureated’Napo;eon 80c. pair and single tied by ‘anchor’ lozenge cancel with faint octagonal Buenos Ayres date stamp at centre, various Italian transit and arrival cds. Carried by the “Carmel” to Montevideo and thence by “Guienne” to Bordeaux.

1858 (Apr 24) blue entire to Milan, Lombardy franked 1855-57 4d. wing marginal and two 6d. paying the double rate from London but not cancelled so struck with three ‘GB/ 2f62c’ accountancy handstamps upon rrival in France, oval-framed P-D. below and additionally endorsed “80” in red manuscript denoting the share of the postage in Centesimi due to the local postal authorities from the British Post Office, reverse with blue London thimble despatch and Milan arrival. Fine and most unusual.
1867 entire from Odessa with fine company chop bottom left, forwarded to Constantinople with agents handstamp at top, addressed to Palermo, sicily and carried on French ship with octagonal Constantinople P.Fr. U No.3, framed Italian PIROSCAFI/POSTALI/FRANCESI handstamp, reverse with Messina transit and arrival date stamps.
1868 (26/6) envelope to Poste Restante, Montreux, Switzerland franked 1854-57 Dotting in Spandrels 8s. green (four margins but damaged top right corner) together with 1864-68 3s. red violet (3) tied by four fine three-ring ‘17’ numerals and Frederica cds in association, redirected on arrival to Belaggio, Lake Como, Italy with a wide variety of backstamps.
1871 outer letter sheet to Genova bearing three-colour mixed franking of 5Kr. postal stationery cut-out together with 3sld and 15sld tied Gallipoli Nel Levante cds, endorsed "Via Brindisi", unframed P.D., reverse with Corfu trnsit, Brindisi transit and arrival cds; fine and very rare combination. (slightly rounded top right corner) cancelled by two large oval CORREIO/ DE S.VICENTE date stamps, reverse with Genova and Venezia transits, St Petersburg transit and arrival cds of 10.V.; fine cover to an unusual destination by an unusual route.
