Zanzibar (Postage Due) 1931 (JA 29) incoming ‘Mehta’ cover from Nairobi, underfranked at 14c rate tied, ‘T’ in circle tax mark at lower, arrival backstamp with the correct 2c. deficiency paid by 1926-30 2c. black/orange postage due tied neat cds. Philtelic, but very fine and the only recorded single usage of this stamp. Ex Griffith-Jones, illustrated in his book.
