Malta 1881 (MY 9) cover to Napoli franked Great Britain 1881 2½d. blue, JB-JC, plate 21 pair and 1880 1d. venetian red, this stamp paying the Late Fee, tied vertical MALTA A25 duplex, circular framed transposed ‘F.L’ handstamp in black, arrival backstamp, central vertical filing crease clear of stamps, some slight inconsequential aging around perfs. A very rare handstamp. Provenance: Leslie Wheeler, RL March 1986 and Hugh Wood 2021.
