
MAURITIUS USED IN SEYCHELLES: 1872 Envelope to Paris with double rate franking Mauritius 1863/72 4d. rose and 6d. yellow-green in a horizontal pair, all tied by three strikes of the ‘B64’ obliterator in black with ‘P.D’ at left. Carried by ‘Ermine’ French Paquebot to Aden with octagonal ‘POS. AN. SUEZ / P.F. AMB. MARS’ on obverse (Aug 20). Reverse with unclear ‘ Seychelles’ dispatch c.d.s. and Paris arrival c.d.s. (Aug 21).
