GREAT BRITAIN USED IN PANAMA: 1886 (Aug): Cover to Newbury, franked 1884 4 d. green tied "C35 / PANAMA" duplex with arrival backstamp. Roughly opened causing tears to top of envelope, a late usage of the 4 d. rate at the Panama Packet Agency following entry of Colombia into UPU on 1 July 1881. Very rare with only two such covers recorded and this stamp unlisted by SG used in Panama. Certificate RPSL (2006).
