FRANCE: 1850 (Oct 7): Entire to Carlshamn, Sweden franked 1849/50 25 c. blue pair (cut into at top and touched elsewhere) and two 1 fr. carmine (Yv 4+6), each tied by grill handstamp with CETTE despatch cds in association, annotated at top "franco Hamburg" and two framed oxidised red PF handstamps applied. reverse with PARIS transit, HAMBURG datestamp and double-ring "K.S. & N.P.A. HAMBURG" transit of the Royal Swedish-Norwegian Post Office, also obverse with Y STAD transit (Oct 18) cds. A standard entire to Sweden was 60 centimes up to 7.5 g., this entire franked at 250 c. would pay four times the rate plus 10 c., a very interesting First Issue cover, signed Calves, cert. Soluphil (1990)
