
ST VINCENT: 1868 (Feb 25): Cover to the Duke of Polignac in Paris franked with 1862/68 4 d. deep blue, no wmk., perf. 11-12½, a used horizontal pair cancelled by 'A10' obliterator, the left-hand stamp tied additionally by "St. VINCENT" despatch cds in red-brown ink. Manuscript credit '7' in red crayon, "LONDON PAID" transit (March 16) and oval PD in red, PARIS arrival backstamp. Slight file fold at right but a most attractive and rare cover.
