RUSSIAN LEVANT RUSSIAN LEVANT: 1868 (March 9): Outer letter sheet from Smyrna to Taganrog, Russia franked by two 2 pi. blue & rose, both with full margins tied by faint strike of 780 in truncated triangle of dots, with partly legible SMYRNA cds with fleurons (Tchilinghirian fig 772) on reverse, the only known strike on cover, front with blue Smyrne company cachet.
