Cyprus c1879 local envelope from Larnaca to Sir Robert Biddulph at Nicosia franked Great Britain 1864/79 1d. red plate 179, TI, tied by ‘942’ obliterator in black. Envelope slightly fragile, rare and still very fine.
Sir Robert Biddulph became High Commissioner and Commander-in-Chief of Cyprus in July 1879.

Envelope slightly fragile, rare and still very fine. Sir Robert Biddulph became High Commissioner and Commander-in-Chief of Cyprus in July 1879.
