ADEN: 1883 (Oct 7): 'The Eastern Telegraph Company' printed Telegram envelope sent registered to Mauritius bearing mixed issue franking of India 1865 2 a. brown-orange and 1882/90 3 a. brown-orange with two 'B' within bars obliterators, ADEN cds to left and four-lined dated Registration handstamp, 'R' in circle bottom right and to left red oval "REGISTERED MAURITIUS" datestamp (Oct 18). The envelope has had a new corner added at bottom right and peripheral edge faults at top, still an attractive and scarce item. SG Z30 + Z51

Aden.", red "BOSTON PAID" cds, carried by British Packet at 39 c. rate on Cunard "Niagara", LONDON transit. Manuscript endorsement "N. J. Kindman's complis / Aden May 23rd 1859" for forwarding mails to Penang, a manuscript arrival endorsement on reverse.
