(Official Mail) 1899 (23 Janv) ‘LETTRE TOMBEE EN REBUT’ printed Post Office envelope to St Marie with Tananarive cds and straight-line CHARGE, “charge” repeated in manuscript top right. This envelope was used by the Post Office to return undeliverable mail, always by registered post for security; central vertical crease, ex Grabowski.
