1896 Tonga Government Vavau handstamped cover with frank overstruck by cds, reverse with transit and Auckland cds, some tone spotting, good overseas usage.
1901 (13 MR) stampless cover to Mount Vernon, Waipawa bearing manuscript O.P.S. and signed Eric Goldsmith. Also with letter stating that he, Eric Goldsmith was coming to inspect the recipients property on behalf of Commission of Crown Lands, Waipukurau arrival backstamp. The envelope and letter with Empire Hotel imprints.
1911 printed envelope of Austro-Hungarian Consulate in Uskub to Vienna franked Austrian stamp (and not Levant issue) tied 'SALONICH USKUB' TPO; central filing crease but still a good example of a rare franking.
1913 (1gr) Official seal of PTT, without Coat of Arms, rouletted label (hoirzontal crease before attaching), single franking on cover (vertical fold) from 'ELBASAN/2 10 1913' to Vlone with 'QUKES' transit '3 10 1913' on reverse. Michel names 14 Oct. as the first day of usage.
1914 registered 'On His Majesty's Service' stampless cover to Berne, Switzerland bearing Nukualofa cds top right and oval registration bottom left straight-line REGISTERED below this, reverse with unusual Seattle entry cds, New York transits and arrival cds.
