IRELAND: 1762 (Aug 16): Entire from Charleston, South Carolina to London, rated '5' (d.) which has been deleted and replaced with '11' (d.), manuscript "ship" top right and straight line 'CLONMELL' below, reverse with straight-line 'COUNTRY' and arrival Bishop mark. Small part of backflap missing, nevertheless a remarkable item, believed to be the only recorded ship letter from Clonel which was further upstream from Dungarvon. Ex T. Roberts (1989).
