CYPRUS: 1897 (Oct 27): 2 pi. registration stationery envelope to Beyrouth, Lebanon uprated 12 pi. orange-brown & black, tied by "NIKOSIA CYPRUS" square circle, oval "REGISTERED CYPRUS" satestamp in red at left, reverse with LARNACA transit and hooded "BEYROUT / BRITISH POST OFFICE" arrival (Oct 29). Extremely fine and an attractive single franking. SG 47
