ITALIAN STATES: Stato Pontificio 1859 (Sept 20): Part entire without sideflaps to Lisbon, Portugal franked with 1852 single four margined 2 b. and right-hand marginal strip of four 5 b., with margins just touched in two places (Sassone 3+6), cancelled by rhomboid of bars, small framed "P.P." at right, ROMA despatch, red entry cds and local arrival charge handstamp '480' (reis), reverse with French ambulant transits and oval arrival (Oct 3) datestamp. Fine cover to a scarce destination.
