KOREA: Russian shipmail 1895 (May 4): Envelope to Berwick, Maine USA endorsed "Via Nagasaki & Vancouver" franked with pairs of Russia 7 k. blue and 3 k. rose (Michel 31A+33A), posted on board of the ship and landed at the Korean port of Gensan, tied with two red "GENSAN / I.J.P.O" cds with framed "PAQUEBOT" handstamp in the same ink at lower left. On reverse transits of NAGASAKI (May 8), YOKOHAMA (May 17) and SAN FRANCISCO (June 1) and arrival cds (June 9). The earliest usage at Gensan of Paquebot covers with Russian stamps, a fine and attractive Shipmail item.
