1890 ‘Penny Half Penny’ stationery card incorrectly addressed to London on the side reserved for the message, whilst the message has been written on the address side , therefore manuscript “Improperly used – taxed at letter rates”, triangular framed ‘T’, London arrival cds. A very rare adherence to the U.P.U. rules.

1891 registered ‘Parisot’ cover to Paris bearing four different U.P.U. surcharged issues with pen crosses and blue despatch cds, Jamaica Registered transit at right and London transit bottom right, arrival backstamps. Vertical filing crease and other slight faults but a most unusual four colour franking.
1905 (31 May) picture postcard of Columbus Monument, treated as stationery with internal postage prepaid in price of card and with violet duplex handstamp for Exhibition, inscribed ‘El Correo en la Exposicion/ DEL 15 DE SEPTIEMBRE/ Primer Certamen 1904’, sent to Denmark so additionally franked 5c. and 10c. on front tied duplex that is repeated on reverse, the latter overstruck with arrival cancel.

The envelope returned by Hotel with Beau Rivage Palace-Hotel/ OUCHY/Lausanne cachet applied, trilingual green framed ‘Inconnu’ label applied to front tied by Lausanne cds, above straight-line ‘A rendre a l’expediteur’ handstamp and two-line Arabic handstamp; the stamp with one pulled perf.
