(Postal Stationery) 1902 3 Cents on Four Cents unsevered reply stationery card with ‘LOCAL’ handstamp and locally overprinted ‘Specimen’; small ink stain on outward section. As intended only for local use, no UPU distribution specimens prepared. Only one card known locally handstamped ‘Specimen’ for presentation purposes.
(Postal Stationery) 1903 KEVII registered envelope, size F overprinted SPECIMEN on reverse (DLR Type D-PS 1) and additionally handstamped ULTRAMAR in blue at top of portrait by Portuguese. Some slight soiling, a scarce handstamp on Seychelles.
1885 40 PARAS on 2½d. block of eight, HQ-IT, each stamp handstamped SPECIMEN. The stamps were surcharged from a horizontal setting of eight clichés, of which 3 showed a small ‘S’. The four stamps at right of this block are with the small ‘S’; fresh hinged mint.
