Ireland (Maritime Mail) 1851 entire letter to Bristol, England from an army officer in Port Louis, endorsed “Per Bell”, prepaid the 8d ship rate, handstamped ‘Ship Letter’ and crowned Mauritius GPO date stamp, most unusually the letter was landed at Waterford and is handstamped ‘WATERFORD/ SHIP LETTER’ (Robertson S2) in blue, with backstamps of Waterford and Dublin.
