1893 (22 Sep) cover to Paris franked 1892 5c. and 10c. tied Noumea cds and additionally franked with two Military Correspondence ‘Flag’ vignettes in orange-brown (number 7) and black on red (number 16), these tied by large Genie Nouvelle Caledonie ‘ship’ illustrated cachet, Ligne T Paq. Fr. No.4 transit cds, without backstamps; some repaired tears otherwise scarce and attractive.
British Post Offices: 1898 (9.12.) cover to London bearing very fine 1.P.T. Union Jack revenue stamp and International Occupation Governor Monfatsi with manuscript initials, passed to Austrian Post Office with 1pi on 10c tied Candia Oesterreichsche Post cds of 12th, redirected upon arrival with London square circle at top, London S.W. arrival backstamp. Extremely fine examples of the British handstamps, the Union Jack handstamp was in use only from December 1898 to July 1899; a little roughly opened with tear top left.
