(Mail Matter) 1896 (Ju 18) ‘Hong Kong Parcel Post Customs Declaration’ form from Chefoo to Devon, England, for a box of uncut garnets, showing Chefoo Customs/Mail Matter framed handstamp in red, with Customs Chefoo double ring origin datestamp and Shanghae index C cds of the British Post Office, the form neatly reduced all round, nevertheless Fine to Very Fine and unusual usage.
1894 Coat of Arms typo 20k olive-green horizontal strip of three on parcel address piece cancelled with red ‘SARAJEVO’ handstamp that stretches across whole strip and tied by dated manuscript “16/4 97”. A very fine and attractive item, the largest known used multiple of this stamp commercially used.
1894 ‘FOREIGN AND COLONIAL PARCEL POST’ certificate of posting with small central punch hole franked by vertical pair 1887-92 2½d. purple/blue Jubilee tied St John Street E.C. London cds, addressed to Roseau, Dominica; good condition for these receipts to an unusual destination.
Victoria: 1908 (JA 29) ‘Inland Parcel Post’ label franked with a pair of watermark V over crown 2/- blue/rose plus a 1/- orange, 5d. brown and 3d. yellow-brown, all perforated OS, making a total of 5s8d postage, tied Telegraph Office Rialto cds.
