CHINA: 1896 newspaper wrapper, originally franked with single 5r gray black, addressed to Chefoo, with Nagasaki Japan 4 July 96 departure, sent via Shanghai (I.J.P.O. 7 July, 96), with Chefoo, I.J.P.O. 10 July 96 arrival pmk on back, handstamped "T" and charged Postage Due, with addition of four 5r adhesives (two vertical pairs) tied by "OH/T" in circle, fine and extremely rare example of Japanese adhesives being available at the Japanese Consulate in Chefoo and used as postage dues on arrival
