1867 ‘Steamer and Eagle’ 10 para, vertical network, block of four with good to large margins all round cancelled with four blue retta cancels, the upper two stamps with ironed out horizontal creases (invisible from front), small pre-cuts between stamps, a very rare and attractive multiple, signed Pfenniger. Ex Faberge (1940), Dr Casey (2016) and Berg (2020).
1902 (AP 25) cover to Newark, NJ, U.S.A. franked ‘Tall Ships’ ½d., 1d. and 2d. in horizontal pairs cancelled with unclear obliterators, Turks Island cds in association, New York transit and arrival backstamp; vertical crease at left side. First issue cover.
1915 registered cover to Lausanne franked on reverse 2pi. ‘Hamidiye’ tied by Pera date stamp, arrival cds to right. The envelope returned by Hotel with Beau Rivage Palace-Hotel/ OUCHY/Lausanne cachet applied, trilingual green framed ‘Inconnu’ label applied to front tied by Lausanne cds, above straight-line ‘A rendre a l’expediteur’ handstamp and two-line Arabic handstamp; the stamp with one pulled perf.
