(2) and 5c. tied by two Chinkiang Postal Service handstamps (The two 1c. stamps have been previously cancelled – they were often sold cto for collectors at the Post Office. The left-hand 1c. tied by same cancel tying 5c. and central cancel tying both 1c.), very fine REGISTERED handstamp, numbered “15” , reverse with dated Chinkiang cds and Shanghai arrival cds, also with full wax seal of Municipal Council Chinkiang with remains of string. Small cut to corner of envelope and opened out for display, a very rare commercial registered cover.

(Kewkiang Local Post) 1895 ‘On Her Britannic Majesty’s Servive’ cover to H.M’s Consulate General at Shanghai franked at quadruple 4c rate with ½c. black/pink pair and two ½c. red/yellow in two singles and a pair of 1c. black, tied vilet double framed oval Kewkiang Local Post 7 Apr 95, reverse with faint Shanghai Local Post cds. Horizontal creasing at top affecting two stamps. The only known cover bearing the double framed oval dater of Kewkiang, used between March and April of 1895.
(Local Post) 1898 (25 Oct) envelope to the Italian Consul at Mazagan franked by Mazagan A Marrakech 10c. and 25c. tied by single unclear violet datestamp, reverse with violet Mazagan, some slight ageing but remaining a good example of a rare usage.

This shipping company The Skargards Trafik Aktie Bolaget was active between 1872 and 1900, the boats travelling between Boback to Helsingfors daily.
