(The 5d. rate was typically a civilian rate from foreign countries, here with London cancel could indicate arrival by military mailbag)The 1d lilac was issued December 1881 and a miss Lucy Halloran married in January 1883. H.M.S. Cleopatra embossed backflap, this ship left the China Station towards the end of 1882.
