1897 (MR 30) 1d. stationery card addressed to the Post Office at Bonny cancelled by red square circle Warri datestamp, the cancel repeated bottom left for reasons of clarity, Forcados River transit additionally tying stamp image and Bonny River arrival at left. Card with full message, a little ink running, a good internal usage.
1898 2d registration postal stationery envelope, up-rated 2½d, to London tied 'BRASS RIVER' cds, LIVERPOOL transit and arrival backstamp.
1899 (15 Apr) large part cover to Scotland bearing manuscript "No Stamps obtained" and signed, framed Burutu date stamp, incorrectly taxed at 2d. and actually paid 1d.. On reverse Liverpool transit. Some faults to envelope, still a worthwhile example of West African Frontier Force mail.
NIGER COAST PROTECTORATE: 1894 (No 19) Envelope to England franked 1/2d. on 2 1/2d. blue variety ‘OIE’ for ‘ONE’ SG 65b in combination with 1894 2 1/2d. blue and 2d. lake (2) all tied by Old Calabar squared circle datestamps with oval registered datestamp in association? alongside and large ‘R’, Liverpool transit and London arrival backstamps, reverse with light staining, rare.
