GREAT BRITAIN USED ABROAD - CHILE: 1877 (Feb 3): Great Britain 1870 1½ d. pl. 3, 1876 8 d. orange and 1867 10 d. red-brown used on 1877 cover from Valparaiso to Paris endorsed 'via Panama', tied by three strikes of the "C30" obliterator with neat 'Valparaiso' cds below (Feb 3). 'London / Paid' transit cds in red at left (March 17) and reverse with arrival. A most unusual make-up of the 1/7½d. rate and a charming three colour franking and a unique usage of 8 d. in Chile. GREAT BRITAIN USED ABROAD - PANAMA: 1866 (Nov 24): Entire letter to Lima, Peru bearing 6 d. plate 5 lettered JG, tied by "C35 PANAMA" duplex applied in transit, "CORREOS GUATEMALA" despatch datestamp in blue alongside, reverse with large "COMPAGNIE GENERALE TRANSATLANTIQUE / AGENCE DE GUATEMALA" in darker shade of blue, obverse with framed FRANCO, reverse with manuscript "2" in blue crayon and black handstamped '2' that has been obliterated and replaced below with handstamped '1'. A fine and extremely rare usage of Great Britain stamps. SG Z90
