1897 1 Penny rose-carmine card entitled Greetings from Johannesburg bearing four small images The Crocodile River, Commissioner Street, Pritchard Street, The Waterfall; some toning mostly on reverse, unused.

1902 registered cover to Philadelphia franked three ½d. green and three 1d. Llandovery Falls slate-black and red tied by Up Park Camp square circles, also showing oval Jamaica Registered handstamp and oval framed ‘R’, reverse with Boston transit and arrival cds; fine and neat cover.


1931 (21 JY) registered airmail first day cover of Centenary of Colony Union, the full set of five tied Registration British Guiana cds, Air Mail G.P.O. cds of same date, to Port of Spain, Trinidad with arrival backstamps; some negligible toning around some perfs and air etiquette not detracting.


1934 (AP 8) ‘Panton’ envelope incoming from British Guiana franked Centenary 1c. pair tied New Amsterdam cds and showing two different special handstamps promoting Waterfall visit and Buying Demerara Rice, ‘T.’ in circle handstamp applied on despatch with manuscript “2d” , additionally franked 2c. Centenary tied double-ring Georgetown date stamp, repeated at base and on reverse where Georgetown British Guiana also appears. Fine condition.

1940 (8 Dec) cover bearing three + 5Frs./ SPITFIRE values plus 25c. Waterfalls tied Nkongsamba Cameroun cds, framed illustrated ‘Journee Du Spitfire’ handstamp, these stamps were used towards the cost of purchasing the fighter plane for the Free French Airforce.


AUSTRALIA - TASMANIA: 1899/1900: Pictorials Dilston Falls 6 d. plate proof in black on glazed card in a vertical strip of three from the left of the sheet with perforation guide cross in the margin, the lower example with Diagonal Line through Left Value Tablet and the upper example with Diagonal Line through Upper-Left Ornament, mounted on a large-part page (175 x 142 mm) from the printer's record book endorsed "C.13625", a few minor aging marks do not overly detract. An exceptional item from this popular series. Ex De La Rue Archives.

BRITISH GUIANA: 1931 Centenary 4c. in carmine (issued colour) on wove paper (cl52x113mm.) showing die number "13113" in reverse at top, undated. The paper vertically folded in half at the moment of the strike leaving clear albino impression of the proof on the left half of the sheet, fine and attractive. Excellent waterfall thematic.

JAMAICA: 1900/01: 'Llandovery Falls' De La Rue composite essay mounted on thick card, dated to right corner “Jan 2nd O1" in manuscript, "Dupl." bottom left and "L" top left.
