(Treaty Ports) 1917 incoming mourning cover to HongKong Shanghai Bank branch at Foochow, China, underfranked 1d. KGV from North Finchley with hexagonal framed T/30 handstamp, no charge apparently being collected, reverse with very clear Shanghai Br. P.O transit and on front British Post Office Foochow arrival.

Embossed, endorsed “Pr Lightning”, redirected upon arrival with 1854-57 Half Lengths added, a 1d. with two large margins and a four margined 3d. tied by ‘1’ numeral cancel of Melbourne, reverse with red SHIP LETTER/ FREE/ G.P.O. VICTORIA date stamp. Some faults to entire and stamps with variable margins, light vertical creasing, scarce item.
1794 (23rd April) outer letter sheet to “Salopian Coffee House”, London bearing cursive ‘PORTS/ MOUTH’ incoming handstamp, arrival backstamp. This occupation during the Napoleonic War lasted for 6 months only, this item a few days after invasion.

1822 entire to Corfu endorsed at bottom right to travel privately to Malta and to be passed to the care of forwarding agents "William Hutton". The reverse bearing straight-line 'April 24: T-2,10' charge handstamp applied in Malta, front bearing Ionian Islands arrival handstamp. The entire is disinfected with two vertical slits.

1858 (Apr 24) blue entire to Milan, Lombardy franked 1855-57 4d. wing marginal and two 6d. paying the double rate from London but not cancelled so struck with three ‘GB/ 2f62c’ accountancy handstamps upon rrival in France, oval-framed P-D. below and additionally endorsed “80” in red manuscript denoting the share of the postage in Centesimi due to the local postal authorities from the British Post Office, reverse with blue London thimble despatch and Milan arrival. Fine and most unusual.
