(Maritime) 1885 folded printed notice re. Shipping sent from St Petersburg, Russia franked 2k. printed paper rate nd cancelled on arrival at Stockholm, whose cds also appears on reverse.
(Ottoman Empire) 1911 commercial printed envelope unsealed and sent at printed matter rate to Richtersweil, Switzerland ,franked two 5pa. (one defective) tied by bilingual Haleb (Stuk-Ul-Habil), arrival backstamp; light vertical filing crease, a rare postmark on cover.
1868 (25 SP) ‘The Liverpool Cotton Brokers’ Association Weekly Circular’ to Alexandria, Egypt, endorsed “open printed circular Reg” franked 1858-79 1d., plate 102, ID and HC, tied 166 Liverpool duplex, central arrival cds of British Office; tear at right under stamp.
1872 printed matter sent internally with 1863-71 Laureated Napoleon 1c. in combination with 1871-75 Ceres 5c. pair tied to part address panel by Lyon Les Terreaux cds; a scarce franking.
1874, Pre U.P.U. 15 para printed matter rate from Serbia to Switzerland, paid by 15 para Prince Milan (First printing, perf. 9 1/2:12) tied by Belgrade cds. Reverse shows Neuchatel arrival cds. Extremely rare Serbia’s pre U.P.U. foreign 15para printed matter rate up to 31gr to Switzerland, only three prospectuses are recorded.
1876 (AP 8) long registered envelope to Weston, Nr. Shifnal, Salop with blue printed BOOK POST at left franked 1864-79 1d., BH, plate 180 and 1873-80 watermark large garter 4d. vermilion, DL, plate 15 both used with ‘W 1’London District Office cancels, registration cds at top, arrival backstamps; faults to envelope but scarce.
1879 unsealed envelope annotated at top “printed Circular” sent from Cardenas with despatch cds at right, franked bisected 1876 25c. with black smudged canceller. Good example of 12 1/2c. UPU circular rate.
1881 wrapper to TRAPANI franked with 'Estero' overprinted 2c. tied '235' numeral with 'TUNISI/POSTE ITALIANE' cds in association to left, arrival backstamp. Fine printed matter rate item.
1883 (JY 25) registered “Circular” envelope franked 1882 bisect ‘½‘ on 1d in four severed pairs consisting of stamps from right and left, tied by ‘A07’ obliterators, cds at base. The envelope was originally addressed and unsealed with flap tucked in to Edinburgh whose cds appears on reverse and re-addressed to London and sealed, the old address carefully removed and new added. Fine and fresh.
1888 5c. postal stationery envelope endorsed “Impresos” to Bremen cancelled by oval violet FRANCA handstamp, Correos Puerto Plata cds at left, reverse with New York transit and arrival; a fine condition printed matter rate item, Ex Krug.
1889 (2 Avril) 1c. postal stationery newspaper wrapper, uprated 1885 10c. to Berlin; fine condition.
1890 (or 1891) 2c postal stationery wrapper to Hamburg, endorsed “via Livingston/ New Orleans” with ornate pen cancellation, Correos Coban five pointed star duplex. On reverse violet Correos Livingston transit which is dated 1891.
1894 (ABR 15) 3c unsealed stationery envelope uprated 1c. to Paris, endorsed “Impresos”,Santa Ana duplex; light vertical central filing crease; good printed matter rate item.
1905 and 1904 printed matter rate items. 1904 unsealed envelope from Noumea at a double rate. Unlikely as so small, sent to UK endorsed “please forward” and then to USA plus 1904 printed matter wrapper for the Tribunal de Commerce de Noumea at triple rate which is possible if at the top of a bundle, or it also contained a written enclosure and travelled at 15c. French Community rate.
