(Haiti) 1880 (AU 25) folded out envelope to Havre bearing commercial cachet and franked Great Britain 1870 1½d. and ten 1880 1d. Venetian Red in apparent irregular block CC-HD tied by seven clear C59 obliterators, red Jacmel Paid cds, red London transit and French Calais entry cds. The envelope has been opened out for display and has other peripheral faults, a remarkable franking, one of very few with this many 1d Venetian Reds.
(British Post Office) 1880 (AU 25) opened-out envelope to Havre franked Great Britain 1870 1½d. and 1880 1d Venetian Red vertical strips of 6 and 3 plus a single, two stamps missing from the front top right (would originally have been a block of 12), cancelled by C59 obliterators, fine red JACMEL PAID, Calais entry cds at left, reverse with London transit and arrival cds. Envelope opened out for display, a most unusual franking.
1765 entire to Honfleur, datelined from Cap bearing maritime transit Col Par/ Auray (believed earliest recorded). Charged “16” sol on arrival. A small part of entire has been cut out otherwise fine and attractive.
1767 (3 Juin) entire docketed as written from Saint Marc isle de St Dominigue from a son to his father at Redon, Brittany with two-line French entry COL.N.PAR/ LA ROCHELLE, taxed at 14 sols. Reverse shows “Par le vessau l’Henriette de la Rochelle/ Q.D.G. & P.A B.P.” (Que Dieu Garde & Preserve a Bon Port).

1873 outer letter sheet to Marseille datelined 26th October from Jacmel, Haiti bearing company chops front and back and carried privately to St Thomas where franked Great Britain 1873-80 3d rose, plate 11, SD and 1865-73 4d. plate 13, LL tied ‘C51 St Thomas Paid’ duplex, red oval-framed PD and London tranit, French entry cds additionally tying 3d., reverse with Paris transit and arrival; a couple of light stains not unduly detracting from fine appearance.
1889 (5 Aout) cover to St. Thomas, Danish West Indies bearing fine negative seal Haiti/ Postes/ Cap Haitien with cds in association alongside, arrival backstamp. Fine and clean condition.
1889 cover to Falmouth franked 1882-86 20c. tied by faint Jacmel cds, reverse with Redruth and Plymouth transits plus arrival cds of following day.
1889 stampless envelope to St Thomas showing good strike of negative seal of Cap Haitien, light filing crease at left otherwise good condition. This cancel was used between March and October 1889 only during the short lived Republique Septentrionale.
1900 (12 Sept) 3c. postal stationery card, uprated 1c. and 2c. in same design to Potsdam, Germany, tied by Jacmel date stamps, Le Havre transit at top and arrival cds at left.
1900 cover to New York franked 1898 10c. tied by oval Amsterdam W.Indie * Nederl. Paketboot date stamp, arrival backstamps with part of backflap missing.
1902 cover to Pietersmarizburg, Natal franked 1896 Palms 1c. and 2c. pairs plus 3c. single together with 1898 1c. Pres. Simon Sam tied Port-Au-Prince cds; small tear at right below stamps, without backstamps.
Folded letter stated (pencil note) to be `1789 from St. Domingue to the Comte de Maulde, /BrIGADIER IN THE Army of the King/ T HIS Chateau at Buissiere, France. Bearing unframed circular Colonies Par Nantes handstamp and rated “24” sol. Fine condition.
