Suva cds tying image, bottom left with Auckland transit (12 FE) and Christchurch transit (15 FE), reverse with Rakaia transit (15 FE) and at top on front arrival cds of 15th; a few slight stains and crease at top right, but generally good appearance and condition.

(Postal Stationery) 1940 10s envelope to Lebanon, USA additionally franked 2s and 3s ‘Chakri Palace’ tied by two large bilingual Ubon cds, Bangkok transit backstamp; top right corner crease affecting design otherwise fine and fresh.


(Postal Stationery) 1940 2½c. S.Y.S. card endorsed “By best route” and addressed to Norway with 2½c. Martyr and pair 5c. SYS added tied dotted framed local cds, three-line violet censor handstamp bottom right; horizontal crease, a fine wartime card.

(Prisoner of War) 1918 (18 Jun) 1c Ceres postal stationery card to Rastadt, Germany cancelled by fine Santarem cds, Censura N39 handstamp and four-line violet Commission Portugaise/ des/ Prisonniers de Guerre/ LISBONNE; good condition for these.


(Prisoner of War) 1918 printed envelope to Porto Alegre, Brazil from German prisoner at Knockaloe Camp, Isle of Man, reverse with censor tape and arrival cancel.

(Propaganda – Matthes Vignette) 1941 (22.4.) Feldpostkarte to Kassel with vignette showing portrait of Churchill and inscription ‘Wertlose Marke’ cancelled Sangerhausen cds, military cachet at centre; fine condition with full message.


(Propaganda) 1940 (30.5.) Churchill propaganda card showing part of type II feldpost, additionally franked with 12pf + 38pf issue for regular postage between M. Gladbach and Berlin; good condition with full message.


(Propaganda) 1940s Generalgovernment, Occupation of Poland, 12Gr. stationery card addressed to Luxembourg, additionally franked with cut-out from Churchill propaganda card tied Krakau cds; fine condition, probably cto only.


(Propaganda) 1941 (10.11.) postcard used from Berlin to Eberswalde, franked only by cut-out of the Chamberlain propaganda card, tied slogan cancel; some staining and ink water affected. A most unusual usage that appears to have been accepted.

(Propaganda) 1941 card depicting an image of Stalin with legend ‘Wert keinen Pfennig’, produced after the invasion of Russia and produced in the same style as the earlier Churchill and Chamberlain cards, only known produced by Gerst of Bremen; very fine unused, a rare card.
