(Ballon Monte) 1870 (26 Oct) small entire to St Petersbourg, Russia franked 1863-71 Laureated Napoleon 80c. tied ‘18’ Paris Star with Paris, A. D’Amsterdam cds in association, framed PD and red manuscript rates in transit. Small tear at back, fine and fresh to rare destination. The letter was sent to Councellor of State Mr Alexandre de Schulz denying any involvement of Prince Napoleon in scandal with forger of Russia’s banknotes made by Mr. Dombrowsky.

(Picture Stationery) 1927 ‘Steinadler’ 20pf + 15pf card celebrating opening of Lufthansa airmail route Stettin – Copenhagen – Gothenburg – Oslo, depicting seaplane flying over Viking ships, used from Berlin to Oslo with slogan cancel of 17.7., though card dated 18th; two small surface abrasions at right, corner bumps and edge wear.

(Somalia) 1938 (3.7.) ‘Ala Littoria’ 1L franked airmail cover cancelled Iavello Galla e Sidama cds with a finer cds to left, reverse with Dalle Galla E Sidama backstamp with error of year. Some toning around stamp, a very rare cancel and internal airmail of Italian East Africa (Galla e Sidama was a district formed from land conquered from Ethiopia).
1907 Daily Graphic Balloon flight card from London, the balloon descended near Tosse, Sweden on Oct 12th. This card was thrown overboard immediately before descent and posted by the finder at Mellerud back to UK with framed T handstamp and 2d. charge raised in UK. Also with an unused card and a postcard sized photo inscribed in Swedish showing crowd around balloon; good to fine condition.

1921 (12.III). Registered cover to Sweden franked privately roulette 1m. and pair of 2m. tied Viljandi Eesti cds, red registration handstamp at top left, without backstamp. The 2m with rounded bottom right corner.
1921 (13.10.) airmail cover from Halep to Alexandrette franked AVION overprinted 1pi. on 20c. Sower pair and Merson 5pi. on 1f. and 10pi. on 2f. tied bilingual HALEP 3 cds; some toning around perfs as usual and light vertical crease at right clear of stamps, slightly reduced at base.

1933 (12.5.) AIR GRAM of French Air Orient to Copenhagen, Denmark franked 1932 Chakri Dynasty 5s. and two 15s. tied by two large bilingual Bangkok date stamps, arrival cds at top right, black cross over ‘AIR’ indicating end of air section. The reverse of letter sheet is made up of an image of block of 10 airmail labels. Some slight staining at base on front.
1933 30c. postal stationery registration envelope uprated 50c. and 1/- and sent airmail to Germany from Tanga, airmail handstamp at top has been handstamped ‘ANNULATO’ at Brindisi on transit, reverse with Moshi transit, Brindisi transit and Italian t.p.o. and Altona arrival cds.
