On arrival violet manuscript “No such number” plus signature. Small tear at base of card, still a good example of Amazon river mail.

Unlikely as so small, sent to UK endorsed “please forward” and then to USA plus 1904 printed matter wrapper for the Tribunal de Commerce de Noumea at triple rate which is possible if at the top of a bundle, or it also contained a written enclosure and travelled at 15c. French Community rate.


1905 and 1909 registered letters bearing combination frankings between Group Type and ‘Kagu’ definitives, 1905 cover at 50c overseas rate to Nylstroom, Transvaal and 1909 at 35c rate to Algeria.
