1903 value declared envelope to Rome, Italy for 100 francs, franked 1901 10c. and 1891-94 50c. tied by faint cds, similarly faint segmented framed charge handstamp, reverse with five largely complete wax seals and Italian transits and arrival cancels.

1903 ½d postal stationery card to London with 'OBUASSI' despatch cds, under-franked with irregular framed 'T' handstamp, 'Sekondi' transit, London arrival and '1d/F.B.' handstamp applied.

1904 (17.VII) registered envelope to the Advice of Receipt Departmet of the Berlin Post Office, franked 50st brown and deep blue overprinted PCP (Pour Certificate Postale) tied Sophia cds, reverse with arrival cds, three blue scallop labels of the Berlin Post Office affixed at top; central vertical filing crease and small tear at top of envelope, a scarce cover.


1904 (29 Mars) registered cover to Montevideo, Uruguay franked 1896-99 25c. black on rose together with 1903 ‘Zebu’ 1c., 4c., 5c. pair and 10c. cancelled Tananarive cds, framed ‘T’ handstamp and further cds at top, Montevideo registration etiquette top left, arrival backstamp. A fine and unusual destination, Ex. Grabowski.

1904 (29.6.)Kiel picture postcard to Southsea, England franked 10pf tied by very fine strike of the rare Kiel/ P.A./ f.d.K. Britische/ Geschwader cancel, this cancel only being used on King Edward VII Royal Yacht on his visit to the Kiel Regatta.

Reverse also bears fine scallop seal of Banque Imperiale Ottomane.


1904 (Dic 1) cover to New York franked 1903 1c., 2c. pair and 10c. tied Choluteca cds and violet grill cancel, reverse with Tegucigalpa transits and arrival cds.

1904 (JA 6) 1d. stationery card Amsterdam bearing good strike of Woodbrook cds with another strike alongside, Port of Spain transit and arrival cds of 29 Jan. A scarce cancel.

1904 (May 18) registered cover to Budapest franked 10c. and 20c. tied oval Choutsun oval bilingual date stamp with registration handstamp in same ink alongside, additionally franked for overseas postage with Kiautschou 30pf. pair tied Tsingtau Kiautschou cds whose registration label appears at base, reverse with blue Kiaochow cds and arrival cds. 1904 3c. postal stationery card to Germany cancelled by oval 'DEUTSCHE SEEPOST/LINIE/HAMBURG/WESTAFRIKA/04/XXVII' date stamp, BREMEN arrival cds at left. The card is datelined "S.S. Gretchen Bohlen". Cockerill does not record this date stamp tied to the 'S.S. Gretchen Bohlen'.
