PHILATELIC, highly decorative.

Circa 1880 internal envelope from Ispahan to Teheran franked at 5ch rate with 2nd Portrait 1s red and black and two 2s yellow and black, the envelope slightly reduced at right and rounded bottom left corner, very fine and fresh colours.

Circa 1890 registered cover to Vienna franked Perf 12, 2nd printing 2n. yellow and two 15n ochre cancelled by unclearly dated Cettigne date stamp; some slight faults to edge of envelope, still a fine commercial cover.

A horizontal crease at top has caused some splitting but still good example of Stamp Shortage envelope.
