1903 (10 Avril) stampless envelope to Paris, endorsed at top “Avis de Reception en retour”, blue handstamp CHARGE and Fort De France Chargements date stamp in same ink, bottom right with octagonal maritime Colon A St Nazaire L.A. No.1, arrival backstamp.
1903 (4.11.) Avis de Reception formula to Marseille franked ‘Levant’ 10c. Mouchon tied by Constantinople Stamboul Poste Francaises; some minor splitting to form, unusual.
1904 (17.VII) registered envelope to the Advice of Receipt Departmet of the Berlin Post Office, franked 50st brown and deep blue overprinted PCP (Pour Certificate Postale) tied Sophia cds, reverse with arrival cds, three blue scallop labels of the Berlin Post Office affixed at top; central vertical filing crease and small tear at top of envelope, a scarce cover.
1904 10c. postal stationery envelope AR registered to Chicago and uprated with three 5c. on reverse tied framed San Jose AR handstamps; fine and attractive.
1905 A.R. registered cover from Haiphong to Yokohama, Japan bearing mixed issue franking of 25c. group type and Grasset 2c with three on front and twenty-one on reverse, to make up the 75c. rate. The obverse bears two different framed ‘R’ handstamps and framed ‘A.R.’; good clean condition.

1913 ‘Avis De Reception’ form franked Sultanat D’Anjouan ‘10’ on 40c. tied St Marie Madagascar cds, to Tamatave, reverse with Maronantsetra transit on return journey. At this point all of the stamps from Madagascar & Dependencies were used interchangeably throughout the colony; slight faults at one corner of form, a rare usage. Ex. Grabowski.
1917 (13 Sept) registered AR cover to Rouen bearing single franking 40c Sage tied by Majunga cds, repeated bottom right, framed ‘R’ and very fine framed ‘AR’, arrival backstamp.
1924 (5.2.) AR registered cover to Paris franked at base with ‘millesime’ pair 2,50pi. on 50c. tied bilingual Babtoma (Damas) cds, top left with framed ‘AR’ handstamp with manuscript registration number alongside, arrival backstamp; fine and scarce.
1925 (25.5.) Advice of Receipt form for package to Tripoli franked fiscal issue with bilingual Alep date stamp; vertical filing crease with slight splitting otherwise a fine an unusual survivor.
1927 folded form, with file holes at top, for an item sent from Manchouli to Harbin bearing both cancels on reverse.
1932 (28 Jul) Advice of Receipt parcel card to Basel,Switzerland, franked six 1923-34 50c. and a 20c. tied by Cadereyta De Montes cds, reverse with Bremen transit ans various Basel cancels and customs label; central filing fold clear of stamps.
1939 A.R. registered money letter envelope to Shanghai franked Japan white paper 50s pair and 6s pair tied Keizyo TyoSen cds, insured for the maximum admitted amount of 1000Y, large bold framed A.R. at centre, Shanghai arrival cds backstamp of 3.7.39. A fine and attractive cover.
Two 1903 ‘Advice of Receipt’ franked forms to Budapest the first with Cartagena 1902 10c. with seven wavy line overprint and circular framed violet A.R., the other franked 1902 Bogota 10c imperf deep blue/greenish, both tied CARTAGENA date stamps, both with arrival cancels on front, the second with New York transit backstamp; some slight peripheral faults as usual with these.
