Carried by the “Carmel” to Montevideo and thence by “Guienne” to Bordeaux.

1848 part entire to Corrientes bearing small “2” in manuscript and red oval-framed Benta Gral/ De Correos/ De Buenos-Ayres, central vertical filing crease. There is a two-line endorsement at top that translates as ‘Long Live the Argentine Confederation! Death to the savage Unitarians!’
1853 incoming envelope with enclosure from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Boston with endorsement “pr Col James Scott” and at right fine cursive SHIP./ 4 handstamp; no backstamps, fresh condition.
1855 outer letter sheet to Buenos Ayres, endorsed "Via Canarias" and "Paquete Ingles", prepaid 4 reales at Cadiz, disinfected and forwarded by the British Post Office at Teneriffe with Paid/Crown handstamp, "1/-" accountancy applied there showing share of postage due.Fine and attractive. 1873 (24th Oct) entire to Genova annotated to be carried by the “Liguria”, this ship had left Buenos Aires on Sept 15th and passed through Gibraltar. The cover has been prepaid in Gibraltar by ½d. and 1d. Great Britain that remained uncancelled and not considered valid by the Italian Post Office who applied a 40c postage due charge. Fine and unusual.
1873 entire to Rauenberg, Germany, endorsed "pr Steamer Boyne" and with blue manuscript rate plus handstamped '11d', reverse with dispatch cds of British Post Office, London transit, Vervier/Coeln tpo and arrival cancel.
1873 stampless outer letter sheet to Genova bearing Buenos Aires company handstamp, rate handstamp '10' and framed 'F.*56' acountancy, somewhat unclear French octagonal maritime Buenos Aires date stamp, reverse with Paris transit and upon arrival 1L. Postage due applied and tied cds; fine condition.
1879 (1 Feb) outer letter sheet to Zurich, Switzerland, franked rouletted pair of 16c. tied by Buenos Aires cds, endorsed “pr Biela” , Southampton Ship Letter and Ship Letter London cds both of MR 6, arrival backstamp.
1896 ‘Rivarola’ 10c. postal stationery envelope to Buenos Aires cancelled Asuncion date stamp. On reverse, a doubly signed note that the item was found out of the bag and without contents on arrival plus arrival cds.
1898 envelope to Ersines, France, franked two pairs 1898 ‘Provisorio 10 Centavos’ on 40c. (bottom right corner of second stamp in first pair damaged) cancelled by indistinct cd, to left French maritime Buenos Ayres A Bordeaux date stamp . Reverse with Buenos Aires transit and arrival cancels.
ca. 1800 entire front to Chiloe handstamped with red framed MENDOSA, rated “3” in manuscript, crossed out and “4½“ added at right; a few pinholes otherwise fresh condition.
