D’Armees Noumea cds with another fine strike alongside, front and back with violet Colonies Francais Nlle Caledonie/ SERVICE DE SANTE, the one on reverse with manuscript endorsement and signature above. Also showing the rare French Packet Line T transit in red Cor.D.Armees Paq.Fr.T No4; light horizontal filing crease and slight envelope faults not detracting.


1895 (25 5) CYCLE advertising envelope to Germany franked Peace & Commerce (Sage) 5c pair (small faults) + 15c tied by Paris cds, Zeitz arrival bs's, backflap with tear, address slightly smudged. Splendid gold and red advertising with Royal Warrant of Starley Bros Coventry.

1895 (5 May) printed registered stampless envelope to Freetown, Sierra Leone cancelled with Fernando Poo cds and with two HABILITADO PARA CORREOS 50 CENT-PTA thimble circular handstamps; fine condition, without any arrival.

1895 (DE 31) cover from BUSHIRE to Cairo franked on reverse by India 1892-96 2a.6p. yellow-green tied by fine large part strike of type Z16 ("C14") "BUSHIRE" squared circle (still clearly showing "E" complete) with two strikes of boxed "TOO LATE" above (applied at the Bushire P.O.). Bold "SUEZ" (27 1 96) and "CAIRE" (28 1 96) transit and arrival cds alongside. Some cover creases but desirable with the "TOO LATE" marking.

1895 (MR 15) red surcharge 4 CENTS on 3c. postal stationery card used to Lima, Peru cancelled with index B cds, transits of San Francisco and New York plus large arrival cds of 12 Mayo. A fine and most unusual destination.

1895 1d postal stationery card to Manchester written from Warrea, uncancelled on despatch, noticed in transit at Liverpool where ‘466’ obliterator applied, red Paid Liverpool Br Packet date stamp; some slight tone spotting.
