1912 illustrated Chemist’s advertising envelope to New York franked 1911 Insurrection Centenary 5c. and pair of 6c. tied by barred cancel with San Salvador Foreign Mail date stamp in association., handstamped ‘Via Salina Cruz – New York’.; fine and attractive.


1912 plain card and postcard each showing the large reddish-pink Brcko-Austellung framed date stamp, used only during the Exhibition in September. The postcard with circular tri-lingual violet cachet of the exhibition is the only known example.

1913 (1/3) registered commercial envelope from Samos to the Russian Black sea port of Novorossiysk franked pair 1908-14 1pi deep blue/azure tied by single Vathy Oesterrichische Post cds with further strike at right, arrival backstamp; envelope roughly opened at top causing some slight damage.

1913 (1gr) Official seal of PTT, without Coat of Arms, rouletted label (hoirzontal crease before attaching), single franking on cover (vertical fold) from 'ELBASAN/2 10 1913' to Vlone with 'QUKES' transit '3 10 1913' on reverse. Michel names 14 Oct. as the first day of usage.
