(Natal) 1887 cover to Amsterdam franked 1882-89 ½d. dull green, 1d. rose and 6d. mauve tied double-ring Durban cds, reverse with London transit and arrival cds; address written back in.


(Natal) 1887 cover to England franked horizontal strip of six 1d. tied Lower-Tucela cds, Durban transit on reverse, redirected upon arrival.


(Natal) 1898 (JY 21) registered cover to Albany, N.Y., USA franked 1882-89 1d. and pair 3d. grey tied by Eshowe Zululand cds, red London transit, reverse with Durban and New York transits plus arrival cds; fine condition. (Zululand was annexed to Natal on 31st December 1897).


(Natal) 1900s ½d. postal stationery card with printed message for travelling portrait artist cancelled by S.S.Helvetia O.R.C. cds; fine quality.

(Natal) 1905 4d. postal stationery registration envelope, size H2, to Naples uprated with a mix of Victorian and Edwardian issues tied Estcourt cds, reverse with Ladysmith and London transits plus arrival. The 4d. brown in bottom left corner has been previously used, the postal fraud went unnoticed.



(Natal) 1906 ‘The Natal Navigation Collieries & Estate Co., Ltd printed 1d stationery printed letter card promoting Port Natal as a Coaling Station. Long printed contents detailing charges and services. Addressed to Melbourne, Australia with Durban cds, selvedge missing at left and largely detached at right.


(Naval Mail) Two 1885 covers from Naval Cadet Edwrd A Baird on the 14 gun armoured ship HMS Triumph which served as Pacific flagship from January 1885 until December 1888 and was in Coquimbo, Chile from 3 May until 25th June. Each cover franked with four 1d. lilac and carried to London by naval bag where they were cancelled by the Foreign Section with ‘F’ in diamond killer. Ringwood receiving cancels of 27 May and 10 July.


(Neapolitan Provinces) 1861 (31 Ago) outer letter sheet to Napoli franked 2gr. blue horizontal pair and 5gr. rose-carmine tied by two TROPEA date stamps, straight-line ASSICURATA handstamp below, arrival backsatmp. Very fine appearance with stamps with good to large margins and fine clear cancels, tear in backflap not detracting.


(Nejdi Occupation of Hejaz) 1925 (1 July) ‘Commemoration of First Pilgrimage under Sultan of Nejd’ overprint/surcharge set of five in blocks of four hinged mint with central hinge, each stamp with A.Eid guarantee handstamp. Slight overall toned gum on two Turkish stamps otherwise fresh, in good condition.


(Nejdi Occupation of Hejaz) 1925 (Aug) Postage Due set of six (S.G. D232-237) fresh hinged mint, each stamp with A.Eid guarantee handstamp.


(Nejdi Occupation of Hejaz) 1925 (July-Aug) ‘Nejd Sultanate Post’ overprint 5pi. scarlet on unsurfaced buff paper (SG 231a) in corner marginal block of four, unused without gum; perfs into design at base and small tear in margin at top.
