Loose Letters cds, Auckland registration label tied by cds, the envelope having been endorsed Registered in English and French but without label; a heavy linen backed envelope, some toning, unusual and rare.
(Siberia) 1916 (22.3.) registered envelope to International Committee of Red Cross, Geneva franked on reverse 20k., from Blagovestchensk, a border town with China, Russian censorship and arrival backstamp; some faults to envelope with tear at top right.
(Sinkiang Russian Post Offices Kuldja Post Office) 1918 (24.5) registered insured cover to Tientsin franked at 950k (inclusive of insurance for 500 roubles in banknotes enclosed) cancelled by Kuldja P.O. datestamps (Tchillinghirian Type 7), endorsed “Par Harbin” but delayed and interrupted by the Russian Revolution and arriving at Changchun I.J.P.O. on 18 Oct, some 5 months later, transferring to Tientsin I.J.P.O. on 20.10 and then to Russian Post Office on 21.10. for eventual delivery. A very fine item travelling through two different Foreign Post Offices.

(Straits Settlements) 1894 5c. postal stationery registration envelope to St Croix, Danish West Indies, additionally franked 8c. orange tied Singapore B cds, repeated to left, registration handstamp bottom left, Registered London (29 AU) transit at right, red Dansk/ Vestindien registration handstamp at left and with St Thomas (27/9) transit and Christiansted (28/9) arrival. Good condition, a fine destination.
(Used in Persia) 1916 (14 Nov) registered cover from the Russian Consular Post in Tabriz to Switzerland, franked on reverse with 10k. in irregular block of five dark blue tied by double circle despatch cds, Petrograd censorship, arrival backstamp of 2.1.17; fine clean condition.
1807 (13 Julio) entire with short receipt of goods notice to Chile bearing large red ‘CERTICACION/ A LIMA/ FRANCA’ handstamp, manuscript double crosses in each corner plus halfway between each corner. Manuscript accounting on reverse (1r Peru Inland rate, 1 ½r Sea Postage and 5r Registration), Scheindling expertisation.
1858 (1 Dec) registered CHARGE cover to London franked 1853 imperf Napoleon 80c (four close to large margins) tied by petits chiffres ‘2164’, Morlaix cds in association, framed ‘Apres/ Le/ Depart’ and scarce ‘crown’ FRANCE REGISTERED in red, London Paid cds bottom right, reverse with three surviving wax seals and two French transits; some slight ink erosion not unduly detracting.
1860(30 April) stampless registered outer letter sheet prepaid in cash from Hamburg to London bearing red HAMBURG/ PAID cds and HAMBURG/ CROWN/ REGISTERED, Registered arrival below, at top left Charge handstamp. A good example of this scarce London Foreign Branch handstamp despite light filing creases.
1863 (MR 26) registered cover to London franked 1862-64 6d. lilac, MA, plate 3 tied clear ‘330’ Halifax duplex, red oval Registered London arrival of following day, reverse with Queenshead cds; light vertical crease clear of stamp.
1864 registered cover to Glasgow, endorsed "Per Royal Mail Route" and bearing straight-line REGISTERED and framed POST OFFICE/ VICTORIA VANCOUVER handtsamp, franked United States 24c. tied target handstamp and by New York Registered date stamp,San Francisco transit cds bottom left, cursive (crown) Registered and London Paid cds arrival backstamp; some faults to envelope but still an attractive example of rare registered mail.
1869 25k. postal stationery envelope, uprated 10k. and registered to Bradford, England, stamp and printed image tied Wien despatch cds, red framed RCMDT handstamp and unframed P.D., in transit at London oval-framed 'Registered London/ From/ Prussia date stamp and cursice '(crown)/ REGISTERED' handstamp, arrival backstamp. Crease and other faults but still a good example of this highly catalogued stationery envelope used. Ferchenbauer Certificate.

Lincoln (2) tied by segmented cork cancel, San Francisco Registered cds alongside, reverse with red octagonal Registered Dublin transit and arrival cds; light vertical filing crease and some small tears on back.
1873 (2 Avril) charge cover to Marseille franked 1871-76 Ceres 5c. block of four and 40c. horizontal pair cancelled/tied by four dotted lozenges with Guadeloupe Moule cds alongside, two CHARGE handstamps and framed handstamp on reverse, maritime cancels front and back, Paris transit and arrival backstamps; some faults with horizontal filing crease affecting one 40c., the other 40c with rounded bottom left corner and top right 5c. with rounded corner, still a fine franking.

Llamas single and strip of three tied by three Huanc VCA cds, ornate framed CERTIFICACION above and ‘flower’ handstamps applied in corners and twice more, reverse with various manuscript registration endorsements, fine wax seal and arrival cds.

(4 in two pairs), 100r left hand marginal with inscription in margin and a 200r. cancelled by fine red segmented cork hand stamp, Rio De Janeiro cds on reverse and oval framed REGISTRADO on front, Lille A Paris cds on front with other French cancel on reverse.
