1868 outer letter sheet to Taganrog franked by two 1865-67 2pi (SG 7) both with full margins, tied by faint strike of ‘780’ in truncated triangle of dots, with partly legible Smyrna cds (Tchil. Type 14) on reverse along with Smyrne company cachet, fine and rare, Mikulski Cert., Ex Dr. Casey.

1871 entire to Barcelona, endorsed “Via de Lisboa” nd bearing mixed issue franking 1851 300r. with clear to good margins plus 1866 Pedro 20r. tied by mute cork cancels, Rio De Janeiro despatch cds, framed ‘P.P.’ at top and to right of cds straight-line ‘1 PESETAS’ charge handstamp applied on arrival. 1872 entire to Tanganrog, Sea of Azov, with dateline “Smyrna 1/13 Sep 1872”, franked Russian Levant 1868 5k. in combination with 1872 1k. and two 10k. each tied by Smyrna rectangle of dots (type 3) with SMYRNA AGENCY Cyrillic cds adjacent (type 15) both in blue-green, received in Tanganrog 11 Sept 1872 where two-line POLUCHENO PARAKHODOM (received by steamship)handstamp was applied, a rare and appealing cover. 1873 (24th Oct) entire to Genova annotated to be carried by the “Liguria”, this ship had left Buenos Aires on Sept 15th and passed through Gibraltar. The cover has been prepaid in Gibraltar by ½d. and 1d. Great Britain that remained uncancelled and not considered valid by the Italian Post Office who applied a 40c postage due charge. Fine and unusual.
1873 (3 Dec) entire from Lisbon to Bordeaux with ship endorsement at top that has been amended to be carried on the “Senegal” and bearing scarce French maritime Lisbonne Paq. Fr. J. No.3, handstamp ‘6’ rate marking, arrival backstamp; a fine example of this scarce cds.
1873 stampless outer letter sheet to Genova bearing Buenos Aires company handstamp, rate handstamp '10' and framed 'F.*56' acountancy, somewhat unclear French octagonal maritime Buenos Aires date stamp, reverse with Paris transit and upon arrival 1L. Postage due applied and tied cds; fine condition.
1875 entire to Lisbon franked 80c. Ceres tied by ‘532’ gros chiffres of Bordeaux, small red framed P.D. and oval framed FRANCA, annotated at top to travel on the “Orinoque”, reverse with Via De Mar Lisboa cds.
1878 10c. Official postal stationery card authorised for public use sent from NAPLES to Reggio in Calabria by sea and landed at Messina, Sicily, where struck with a boxed 'PIROSCAFI/POSTALI' handstamp with the third line missing (only recorded used at Messina). Then taken across the Messina Straits to Reggio on the mainland.
1879 (1 Feb) outer letter sheet to Zurich, Switzerland, franked rouletted pair of 16c. tied by Buenos Aires cds, endorsed “pr Biela” , Southampton Ship Letter and Ship Letter London cds both of MR 6, arrival backstamp.
1879 outer letter sheet posted on board ship to Napoli franked 20c. orange-brown tied by framed PIROSCAFI/ POSTALI/ INTERNO handstamp, without any further indication of despatch but probably Palermo, arrival backstamps; fine and attractive.
1883 envelope with imprinted albino seal on backflap ‘Secretaria De Hacienda’, addressed to Paris routed through Colon to connect with the “Ville de Brest” bound for St. Nazaire.
