1934 (AP 8) ‘Panton’ envelope incoming from British Guiana franked Centenary 1c. pair tied New Amsterdam cds and showing two different special handstamps promoting Waterfall visit and Buying Demerara Rice, ‘T.’ in circle handstamp applied on despatch with manuscript “2d” , additionally franked 2c. Centenary tied double-ring Georgetown date stamp, repeated at base and on reverse where Georgetown British Guiana also appears. Fine condition.


1934 stampless incoming envelope cancelled on reverse PAQUEBOT ZANZIBAR (27 OC), circular framed ‘T’ handstamp overstruck with Postage Dues 1926-30 18c. black/orange and 1930-33 rouletted 5 2c. black/salmon vertical pair and a 3c. black/rose tied by three REG ZANZIBAR datestamps of 8 NO; some glue staining, fine mixed issue franking


1935 (23.IX.) incoming unfranked cover from Kuopio, Finland to Tunis endorsed Express under despatch cancel, framed ‘T’ handstamp and blue crayon “41 2/3c” , a 1923-29 3f. violet/rose postage due applied and tied by machine cancel, but the charge was refused and stamp with green crayon cross, address similarly erased and thee-line handstamp TUNIS/ RETOUR/ A L’ENVOYEUR front and back. Small tear at top of envelope.

1938 stampless internal envelope addressed to Tamatave with triangular framed handstamp at left and in manuscript at right, top left with manuscript “T = 1.30” charge and 1908 Postage Dues 10c., 20c. and 1f. applied and tied Tamatave cds; part of bottom backflap missing.

1950 airmail cover to United States bearing single franking 6d. tied St John’s cds, redirected from USA to Poste Restante in Israel with this fee paid for with 20s and 30s Postage Dues tied cds.

1951 under-franked airletter used to Bilua with red maritime cachet at base, violet postage due handstamp to left with manuscript”2” charge and a 2d. postage due stamp applied and tied Gizo cds. No message.

1952 (26.8.) incoming airmail cover from Pondicherry, India under-franked at 10a rate so large circular framed ‘T’ handstamp applied with manuscript “32c” alongside and franked 1923-29 5f. violet and 1945-50 30f. blue tied by Tunis Arrivee cds

1952 (AU 9) envelope to “The Creek, Cayman Brac” , endorsed “Via S.S. Caymania” bearing single franking 2½d. bright blue with circular framed ‘T’ handstamp, to left good The Creek cds; fine condition.


BAHAMAS: 1876 (Feb 5): Hotel Advertising Envelope to New York bearing single franking 4 d. tied by BAHAMAS despatch cds, 'Due 3' charge handstamp applied on arrival. The reverse bears a fine illustration of 'Royal Victoria Hotel'. Envelope reduced slightly at right, some inconsequential wrinkles to envelope, a fine and very early advertising item.


Federated Malay States: 1933 incoming underfranked cover from Tirupatur, India to Ipoh with 12c. Postage Due apllied and tied Ipoh cds; good condition.


HONG KONG POSTAGE DUES: 1899 (3 NOV) Japanese style picture postcard entitled ‘HARBOR HONGKONG’ franked HK 4c. grey tied by fine octagonal YOKOHAMA A MARSEILLE L.N. NO 8 datestamp. Fine & scarce.

HONG KONG POSTAGE DUES: 1987 se-tenant imperf interpanneu pairs of 10c. + 20c., $5 + 50c., $1 + $10 fine unmounted mint. SG D31/36

HONG KONG POSTAGE DUES: 1987 set less the 50c. value in unmounted IMPERF blocks of 4 unmounted mint, the top 3 values marginal with just a trace of slight wrinkling. Fine Sg D31/6var.
