1913 Port Said picture postcard to Sliema, Malta franked 2m tied Suez cds, underfranked with framed ‘T/10’ handstamp, Port Said transit, Malta entry cds and arrival cds with further ‘T’ handstamp and circular framed ‘1d’; fine quality with mixed due handstamps.
1914 (11.V.) incoming cover from Bern, Switzerland bearing 3c. violet and 10c. red, underfranked with small blue manuscript “T”, larger black local handstamp part overstruck by one of the four ‘TAKSE’ overprinted surcharge postage dues cancelled by Shkoder cds of 20.5.1914; some corner bumps to envelope and light central vertical filing crease, scarce cover.
1914 (27.2.) stampless cover to Vlone bearing BERAT despatch cds with handstamped ‘T’ alongside, at bottom left ‘T/ Takse’ overprinted 50q. applied and tied Vlone cds; the envelope with scissor cut at right and small punch hole at left; despite faults a good early usage of top value from the first Postage Dues issued.

1918 2c United States stationery envelope from ‘Toledo Stamp Co.’ to Port of Spain underfranked with strip of three 1905-06 1d. postage dues tied arrival cds, UNCLAIMED handstamp and the envelope returned with the postage dues with CANCELLED handstamps, and at New York charged 6 Cents with pre-cancelled 3c postage due pair applied.

1930 (9 Oct) De La Rue composite artist’s essay for a permanent set, based on the 1923 Hong Kong design (at the suggestion of the Zanzibar authorities) with ‘postal scales’ printed by a semi-photographic process in deep green with hand-painted details in a lighter green, blank at right for an Arabic inscription. A superb essay, ex Griffith-Jones, one of two known, illustrated on p. 204 of his book.
1930 (JY 1) incoming underpaid cover from Kampala, Uganda to Poste Restante underfranked with 1c. and 10c., ‘ ‘T’ tax mark at upper left, deficiency of 1 Uganda cents (= 6 Zanzibar cents) paid by 1930-33 6c. black/yellow postage due tied cds, subsequently marked with red m/s “Charges paid” above and signed.
