(Post Offices in Crete) 1898 (24 Nov) printed soldier’s envelope ‘From’ “Lca Sgt F. Pagett 5th Fusiliers Crete”, endorsed bottom left corner “British Forces Crete” , stamp cancelled Candia Oesterreichische Post cds, reverse with Dover Station Office cds; some slight faults to envelope, opened-out for display a rare and unusual item of mail from the International Peace-Keeping Force in Crete.
(Post Offices in Egypt) 1873 entire to Trieste bearing single franking 15Kr tied 'ALEXANDRIEN' cds, arrival backstamp, manuscript note alongside stamp "non valerati dell Egito" and blue crayon "20" charge raised, arrival backstamp. Fine example of invalid use of Kreuzer currency stamp of Austria and not the correct Soldi currency stamp.

Some slight faults, still a good example of a rare example of postage due usage.
(Postage Due) 1930 (JY 1) incoming underpaid cover from Kampala, Uganda to Poste Restante, underfranked with 1c., 'T' in circle and plain 'T' tax mark alongside, deficiency of 14 Uganda cents calculated as 35 gold centimes (=21 Zanzibar cents) paid by 1926-30 21c. black/orange postage due tied cds, subsequently marked with red m/s cross and initials, and charged "Charges Paid" below, the same ink deleting Tax marks and used fro the return address to Kampala. (Postage Due) 1934 (23 Aug) unpaid cover from Majunga, Madagascar with despatch on front together with triangular framed ‘T’, manuscript “R” (in pencil) and “100” in red crayon. On reverse arrival cds with postage dues to value of 31c. (apparently rflecting a recaluculated deficinency of 50 gold centimes) applied, comprising 1926-30 9c black/orange certical strip of 3 (R3-5/1 on sheet, showing ‘cent.s’ error on central stamp) and 1930-33 2c. black/salmon horizontal pair (6th setting, 3rd printing, R2/1-2) tied by three strikes of Reg/ Zanzibar cds. Some creasing affecting some stamps, still a spectacular and desirable mixed issue franking, with rare commercial usage of 9c. error in a se-tenant mutiple, which is also the latest recorded date of this value. (Postage Due) 1936 (14 NO) incoming airmail cover from Kilindini, Kenya, underfranked with ‘T’ handstamp and m/s “2/50” on despatch, indicating a double deficiency of 50 (gold centimes) = 40 Zanzibar cents, 1936 40c. ultramarine postage due applied and tied Reg. Zanzibar cds of 16 NO. Some slight imperfections still a very fine and rare cover, being the earliest recorded commercial usage of the 1936 Due issue, and the first involving an airmail rate.
