1837 entire from Alexandrie, Egypt bearing double ring cds of French Office on front, reverse with accountancy handstamp 17 January: 4d with the French postage added in manuscript, a charge of “1/8” totalling “2/-“, oval disinfection handstamp at left.
1838 incoming disinfected cover from Alexandrie (Egypte), endorsed “Col vapour Francea”, reverse with small straight-line ‘14 May; 8d’ with manuscript addition for French Postage, remains of red disinfection wax seal. Unusual mixture of accountancy.

Fine and rare.
1848 entire from Zante to Boston, United States endorsed “Via Marseilles” without any clear indication of despatch except for commercial chop top right, addressed care of forwarding agents in London whose blue ornate handstamp appears at base, red PAID date stamp of London and red ‘29’ US accountancy.
