1875 (SP 7) cover to Manchester, endorsed "Via Varna" bearing Great Britain unoverprinted 2 1/2d. mauve on blue, JC, plate 1, tied 'C' obliterator with red British Post Office Constantinople code A cds in association,arrival backstamps; slight fault to envelope at top and opened-out for display.


1875 5Kr. postal stationery envelope registered to Budapest, uprated on reverse with 10Kr., each cancelled by fine oval Temesvar Ajanlott date stamp, registration handstamp on front, arrival backstamp. Small damage on reverse affecting arrival cds.


1875 cover to Lima, Peru bearing fine oval-framed BOGOTA * DE OFICIO handstamp, reverse with Lima Principal cds plus an erroneous 10c. postage due.

1875 entire to Lisbon franked 80c. Ceres tied by ‘532’ gros chiffres of Bordeaux, small red framed P.D. and oval framed FRANCA, annotated at top to travel on the “Orinoque”, reverse with Via De Mar Lisboa cds.


1875 Entire written at Constantinople sent to Odessa, bearing 2x3k+10k Russian issue for Levant (1872 – horizontally laid paper) cancelled on arrival with Odessa cds, additional strike alongside.


1875 folded company entire to Mulhouse franked 10pfge tied good strike of Markirch horseshoe cancel, Mulhausen i. Elsass arrival backstamp cancel n same style; good late usage.

1875 Large size registered cover franked with 5k+10k+2x30k (all 1866 issue horizontally laid paper) all cancelled by “DRIZA 27 JAN 1875” cds, sent to St Petersburg, arrival on reverse. Very scarce correctly franked for registered letter weight 6 lots

1876 & 1878 Entires to Bordeaux from Copenhagen franked 20ore with normal & inverted frames respectively. Both bear blue French entry cds for Erquelines.


1876 (12 Dec) envelope to Saurat franked 1872-73 General Colony 10c brown/rose and 30c brown, good to clear margins, cancelled SNG in lozenge with St Louis cds in association at left, reverse with octagonal Col Fr. Paq. Fr. J No.6 date stamp, various local transits and arrival cds; small fault at base of envelope. A fine cover, Ex. Sacher.

1876 (15 Nov) internal entire franked 1866 20r. and 80r. Pedro with unclear cork cancels, Rio De Janeiro cds to left; some light overall toning and ironed-out vertical filing crease.

1876 (23 Janv) ‘Le Progres’ newspaper bearing 1871-75 2c. Ceres tied by four-line handstamp ‘UN NUMERO/ Affranchi par la Poste/ 15/ Centimes’; stamp with some short perfs at base.

1876 (23/II) stampless Official entire bearing fine 'thimble' Vaduz dispatch cds and on reverse Nendeln arrival cds; fine and scarce.

1876 (26 Aout) outer letter sheet to Naples, Italy, with mixed franking of 1871-75 5c. Ceres and 1876 25c. Sage tied Bordeaux date stamps, Bordeaux a Paris transit and red arrival backstamps.
