1935 (10 DE) registered airmail cover to Aberdeen, Scotland bearing single franking 2/- Silver Jubilee tied Registered Sydney N.S.W. cds with complete strike to left, revere shows imprint of Postmaster General’s Department; a fine single franking.


1935 (10 VII) registered Value Declared envelope for 120L. to Hannover franked 60c. and 1L. tied Kaunas cds, bilingual Valeur declaree label on front, five Lithuanian wax seals on reverse with arrival cds; a fine cover.


1935 (16.1.) AIR GRAM of French Air Orient to London franked 1928 King Prajadhipok 10s. and 25s. tied large Bangkok bilingual date stamp, endorsed in red “K.L.M.”. The reverse of letter sheet is made up of an image of block of 10 airmail labels, showing pen crosses through label images and two K.L.M. added.

1935 (21 DE) registered cover to Southampton franked 3d., 5d., 8d. and 1s. each tied by oval Registered date stamps, registration label bottom left, without backstamps; very fine condition.


1935 (23.IX.) incoming unfranked cover from Kuopio, Finland to Tunis endorsed Express under despatch cancel, framed ‘T’ handstamp and blue crayon “41 2/3c” , a 1923-29 3f. violet/rose postage due applied and tied by machine cancel, but the charge was refused and stamp with green crayon cross, address similarly erased and thee-line handstamp TUNIS/ RETOUR/ A L’ENVOYEUR front and back. Small tear at top of envelope.

1935 30c red picture postal stationery card ‘Ketama Cedars and Snow’ overprinted ‘Cabo Juby’ over design and with diagonal MUESTRA handstamp at centre; fine unused.


1935 S.W.A. overprinted stationery registration envelope additionally franked 1931 1d. ‘Cape Cross’ (3) tied Windhoek cds, to Berlin and redirected to Frankfurt, German Customs handstamp top left, reverse with further despatch, Berlin and Frankfurt cancels plus a numbered label not tied.

1935 Silver Jubilee registered palin airmail first day cover, the 1 ½d. showing variety ‘kite and vertical log’ (SG 62k) tied St Kitts cds, to Maidstone with arrival backstamp.

1936 'Provisional Airmail' issues set of three on individual covers bearing printed "ISSUED UPON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST LIBERIAN AIR MAIL SERVICE/DUSIDE TO CAPE PALMAS, 28TH FEBRUARY 1936.", each with 'MONROVIA' despatch and 'HARPER' arrival. Fine and rare.


1936 (1 IV) registered Value Declared envelope for 15L. to Cesis, Latvia franked 1934 15c. plus 1934-35 1L tied by Panevezys cds, bilingual Valeur Declaree label at centre above red registration handstamp, reverse with five wx seals, Kaunas transit and arrival cds.

1936 (17 MR) registered ‘On His Majesty’s Service’ envelope to London franked 1d. and 8d. of same Map and Tortoise design tied by single registered oval date stamp, without arrival cancels.

1936 (28 FE) airmail cover endorsed “By Courtesy Air Flight R.A.F./ Singapore – Japan” from Victoria with two 10c. to Kobe, Japan to meet up with flight, Kobe Nippon cds at centre and red straight-line handstamp of the same Mar 6 1936 date, without any backstamps.

1936 (31 MR) internal stampless O.H.M.S. envelope addressed to "Inland W.W. Dept./ Bathurst" bearing T.P.O. No.2 River Gambia cds with unclear year; some staining down a central vertical fold.


1936 (4. IV.) registered insured envelope for 2350 Lt to Manchester, the value interpreted in manuscript to “Valeur declaree 1175 fr. d’or”, franked front and back with 5c., 40c. and 1L (5) tied Kaunas cds, ‘Valeur declaree’ bilingual pink label, black on red INSURED label applied in England, framed registration handstamp, five fine red wax seals on reverse; envelope opened out for display.

1936 (MR 14) registered cover to Antwerp, Belgium franked 1d. and 5d. each tied by faint cds, without backstamp, small fault to registration etiquette.
